A recent C5 attestation achieved by FI-TS for cloud services built on metal-stack is another strong signal that open-source infrastructure is ready for highly regulated workloads.

C5 (Cloud Computing Compliance Criteria Catalogue) is a catalogue of security criteria developed by Germany’s Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) to assess the security of cloud services.

The assessment confirms that the operational and security controls required by the BSI's C5 framework can be successfully implemented on top of metal-stack-based environments.

For the metal-stack community, this is an important milestone. It demonstrates that transparency, open collaboration, and vendor-independent infrastructure can go hand in hand with demanding compliance requirements.

Thanks to everyone who contributes to making metal-stack a reliable foundation for sovereign and secure cloud platforms.
